The library is housed in the new building of the academy and has a large collection of books, journals and magazines on varied subjects. The subjects on which literature is available in the library range from core forestry subjects and allied subjects which are important in the training curriculum. The books range from forestry, wildlife, economics, engineering, remote sensing and GIS, computer applications etc. are about 24,500 books in library out of which about a thousand books have been added recently. 
Presently, academy is subscribing for approximately 150 national and international journals on forestry and related issues. The library of the academy has 100 to 150 users at any given point of time, which includes the IFS trainees as well as the Faculty of the Academy. The library is under the process of automation in order to improve the management and circulation of the books.
