Joint training programme of IAS/IPS/IFS: 

These are being proposed from this year at the behest of PM office/DoPT with a view to bring together serving officers of the three All India Services to sensetise them on wide ranging issues concerning General
 Administration, Law and Order, Ecological Security etc.  IGNFA proposes to conduct this joint training at two levels i.e., (1) for officers at District levels i.e., Collectors,SPs and DFOs (2) officers in the rank of JS involved with policy making, directions, maintenance of law and order etc.  State level Secretaries, IGPs and CCFs are proposed to be called for this sensitization programme.  Duration of these courses will be of 3-4 days including one day field visit.

Sensitisation programme for other stakeholders: 

Under this, sensitization on latest issues/developments such as impending threats to ecological security and wellbeing being,global warming and climate change, combating desertification, biodiversity conservation,
international conventions on forestry is proposed to be given to legislators/policy makers and members of the higher judiciary.  Four such sensitization programmes ie. two for honourable MPs and two for members of higher judiciary of three day duration each are proposed to be conducted in the year 2009-10.
